Tourism and Events NT, was formed in December 2025 and promotes the Northern Territory as a unique destination to visit and live. Tourism and Events NT sits within the Northern Territory Government Department of Tourism and Hospitality.
Tourism and Events NT markets the Northern Territory as a desirable destination and facilitates the sustainable growth of the Northern Territory visitor economy. Tourism and Events NT also plays a significant role in the development and investment in tourism infrastructure and experiences.
The functions of Tourism and Events NT are:
- to market the Territory as a desirable visitor destination
- encourage and facilitate the sustainable growth of the tourism industry in the Territory
- advise the Minister on all matters relating to tourism, hospitality, events and exhibitions in the Territory
- identify and attract events and exhibitions that contribute to the benefit of the Territory
- work independently or in collaboration with third parties to coordinate and deliver events and exhibitions.

Our unique, award-winning events ranging from music, motorsport, to arts and culture encourage people to visit, and in turn, stay and explore the Territory.
