Darwin NRL Tickets on sale for Dolphins' first home game

The Dolphins will make history in 2026 when they host their first-ever home game in Darwin, facing six-time premiers the Penrith Panthers in a Friday night prime-time clash at TIO Stadium on 17 April at 7.30pm.

Tickets for the Round 7 blockbuster are on sale now. The Dolphins return to the Territory after a strong 2025 season and their impressive 44–16 win over the Parramatta Eels during their Darwin debut in 2024.

From 2026, the partnership between the Dolphins and the Northern Territory will run through to at least 2028, delivering benefits for the NT community through engagement programs, elite sports development, and participation initiatives delivered by NRLNT’s RISE program.

Highlighting the significance of the upcoming match, Dolphins CEO Terry Reader said, “Facing the six-time premiership-winning Penrith Panthers is a massive match, and we know this will be one of the biggest clashes of the year. We look forward to seeing TIO Stadium packed with both our loyal local supporters and our travelling fans, making it an incredible atmosphere for a spectacular game.”

Delivered by Tourism and Events NT, the game offers Territorians a chance to witness elite-level rugby league on home turf, while attracting interstate visitors and supporting the region’s tourism economy. Travellers heading to Darwin for the match can make the most of their trip by exploring the city’s vibrant food and cultural offerings, along with world-renowned natural attractions including Kakadu and Litchfield National Parks.

A wide range of ticket options are available, including General Admission from $35 for adults, Family GA at just $20 per person for families of four or more, and children under four can enter free on the knee. Grandstand seating starts from $55 and Corporate Hospitality packages in the Ah Mat Wing, Bonson Wing, and Members Bar start from $260 per person.

Grandstand buyers can also take advantage of the new Invite A Friend ticketing feature, which allows them to reserve up to eight adjacent seats for family and friends, who then have 48 hours to complete their purchase.

Getting to the NT for the game is easier than ever with Qantas offering travellers $100* off return flights to Darwin for bookings made between 3–9 December 2025 (using code NT100*). The offer applies to direct departures from Perth, Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Cairns for travel between 15 December 2025 and 30 April 2026, limited to the first 1,000 eligible passengers. Reinforcing the excitement within the Territory’s rugby league community, NRL NT General Manager Tony Crowe said, “We’re excited to welcome our local rugby league community and travelling NRL fans to secure their seats at TIO Stadium. We can’t wait to show the Dolphins just how strongly the Territory gets behind its team.”
