Tickets are now on sale for the MXGP of Australia 2026, which returns to Darwin from 18–20 September and once again features the MA Motocross State Challenge following its hugely successful debut last year. The State Challenge will launch three massive days of racing at Hidden Valley, showcasing Australia’s elite junior motocross talent in front of an international audience. In 2025, teams from every state and the Northern Territory battled across the MX85 and MX3 classes for riders aged 12 to 17, with Queensland taking out the overall title ahead of Western Australia and New South Wales.
This year, more than 80 of Australia’s brightest young riders will take on the purpose‑built 1.6km track on Friday 18 September, with every State Controlling Body again fielding a 12‑rider team across the MX85 (12–U16) and MX3 (14–U18) classes. Six riders in each class will compete on opening day before the world’s best MXGP, MX2 and WMX riders take over Hidden Valley for two huge days of racing in the final round of the 2026 FIM Motocross World Championship and Women’s Motocross World Championship.
Fans can secure their place at one of Australia’s biggest motorsport events, with a range of ticket options available. The Holeshot Hotel offers a relaxed Territory‑style premium experience with Friday access from $275, while the 3‑Day Hot Pass provides full weekend access for $150. Day passes start from $45, and any ticket can be upgraded with a $30 Paddock Pass for exclusive behind‑the‑scenes access. Returning in 2026 is the iconic Skybox, an 18+ premium hospitality experience featuring air‑conditioned dining, premium food and beverage service, a private beer garden and elevated views of the start line.
The MXGP of Australia, winner of the Best Promoted Event of the 2025 World Championship, will again deliver far more than world‑class racing. Visitors can expect great food, entertainment, off‑track activities and the unique atmosphere only the Top End can offer. Combined with the Territory’s adventure‑packed tourism experiences, the 2026 MXGP is a must‑do event for families, motorsport fans and visitors alike. Motorcycling Australia CEO Peter Doyle said the return of the State Challenge and the continued growth of the event highlight the strength of motocross in Australia. “The MA Motocross Championship exceeded our expectations in 2025. Improved pathways for our junior riders and an all‑new international‑standard circuit showcased our brightest stars in the best possible light, with the quality and tempo of racing exceptional from start to finish,” he said. “We fully expect more of the same in 2026, and I know teams will be working overtime to bring out the best in Australia’s young talent — and there’s no better place to do that than the MXGP of Australia.”
