MXGP of Australia returns for three huge days in the Top End
The MXGP of Australia presented by Sitzler will return to Darwin from 18 to 20 September 2026 with a high-energy three-day program featuring the world’s best motocross riders alongside Australia’s rising stars. Following a hugely successful debut that attracted more than 36,000 attendances, the event is set to deliver another iconic showcase at Hidden Valley.
The weekend begins with the MX3 and MX85 State Challenge, where emerging riders compete in a State of Origin style contest. International competition steps up on Saturday with MXGP, MX2 and WMX riders taking to the track before championship racing takes over on Sunday with multiple decisive events.
A standout feature is the inclusion of the FIM Women’s Motocross World Championship, with Darwin hosting the final round of the global series.
Infront Moto Racing Chief Executive Officer David Luongo recently championed the NT and our events, saying: "Darwin has earned its place on the MXGP world calendar, not by accident, but because every element that makes a Grand Prix truly great comes together here.
The Hidden Valley circuit challenges our riders in ways that produce spectacular racing, the Northern Territory Government has shown genuine commitment to making this event world class, and the atmosphere that Australian fans create is something that has stayed with all the riders and team.”
With festival style entertainment, family friendly options, and a packed race schedule, the 2026 event promises an unforgettable motorsport experience in the Top End.
Tickets are on sale now and offer a range of options for all fans. Premium hospitality packages, including the iconic Skybox and Valley View Terrace, provide unmatched views and exclusive access. The event also offers affordable choices like the Holeshot Hotel, a family‑friendly premium general admission area capturing the laid‑back spirit of the Northern Territory.
A 3‑Day Hot Pass is only $150, day passes start from $45, and kids 12 and under enjoy free entry with a paying adult. A $30 Paddock Pass upgrade offers exclusive behind‑the‑scenes access.
