About NTBE

Northern Territory Business Events (NTBE) promotes the Northern Territory as one of the world’s most distinctive and meaningful destinations for business events, including conventions and conferences, corporate meetings, incentives and exhibitions.

Unlike other Australian convention bureaux, NTBE operates as a non-membership-based organisation representing the entire Territory. The team provides independent, impartial advice to event planners and connects them with professional suppliers, venues and experiences across the Northern Territory. NT Business Events partners with local industry to generate opportunities by researching, preparing and presenting bids, generating leads and promoting the destination to high-value decision-makers across association, corporate and incentive sectors.

NTBE delivers activities that include business development, bidding, trade engagement, partnership development, public relations and advertising. These activities help attract business events that sustain aviation access, utilise world-class infrastructure and highlight the capability of Northern Territory suppliers.

Business Events Support Fund

The Northern Territory Business Events Support Fund (NTBESF) supports the local business events industry to convert opportunities by providing financial assistance to organisers of eligible business events and incentives held in the Northern Territory. Support is offered on a per-delegate basis, starting from a minimum of AUD $100 per delegate for events held between May and September, increasing to AUD $150 per delegate for October, March and April, and AUD $200 per delegate for events staged from November through February. Priority consideration is given to business events that align with the Northern Territory’s economic and social strengths. Further details are available on the NT Business event support page.

Northern Territory Visitor Economy Strategy 2032

All activities align with the Northern Territory Visitor Economy Strategy 2032, which outlines a vision to grow year-round visitation and economic outcomes across the Territory. The Strategy targets $2.2 billion in visitor expenditure and 1.5 million trips by 2032. Business events are recognised as a vital contributor to this growth, attracting high-yield visitors, facilitating knowledge exchange and generating long-term opportunities for Northern Territory industry.
