About the campaign

The Northern Territory's Best Kept Season campaign is the Territory's annual national marketing campaign showcasing why September to April is one of the best value and most memorable times to visit the Territory. 

The campaign highlights the experiences, seasonal moments, events and value available cross the Territory during this time of year, encouraging more Australians to consider and book the Northern Territory for their next holiday.

Delivered nationally across TV, digital, print, social media, public relations and national travel partners, the campaign also provides opportunities for tourism operators to showcase their experiences and offers to a national audience. 

Help us give Australians every reason to visit during our Best Kept Season

There are so many reasons to visit the Territory during our Best Kept Season. This year we're bringing those reasons together to inspire more Australians to experience the Territory from September to April. 

Last year's campaign reached millions of Australians, generated more than 238,000 visits to northernterritory.com and contributed to an estimated $49.1 million in economic impact

This year, we're inviting our tourism industry to help bring the campaign to life by sharing your reason on why the Territory is so special during our Best Kept Season. 

Why get involved? 

By participating in the campaign, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Feature your Best Kept Season offer to more than 238,000 Australians visiting the campaign hub on northernterritory.com looking for value-led deals. Last year, participating operators received an average of 208 leads direct to their business.
  • Be considered for inclusion across Tourism and Events NT's national marketing campaign, including television, print, email, social media and public relations activity.

How to get involved 

1. Add a Best Kept Season offer to ATDW

Help showcase the value of travelling during our Best Kept Season by adding a compelling offer to your ATDW listing.

To be eligible, your offer must:

  1. A minimum 10% discount or an equivalent RRP value add. Provide instructions on how to claim the deal in your ATDW deal description (e.g. a booking code for checkout).  
  2. Validity for the campaign period: 11 August – 30 November 2026 (travel dates can be associated with the deal). 
  3. The imagery and photos used on the ATDW listing should demonstrate the experience or offer. 
  4. Email [email protected] advising you’d like your deal featured on Tourism and Events NT’s Best Kept Season landing page by using the campaign tag. 
2. Share your Best Kept Season reason

We need your ‘reasons’ to bring our national campaign to life. 

When submitting your Best Kept Season deal with [email protected], you will also need to provide your best reason to visit the Northern Territory during September to April. We’re looking for standout experiences, local tips and seasonal highlights that showcase why our Best Kept Season is  so memorable. 

Reasons should be no more than 25 words. See examples below:

  • Cruise Kakadu's lush wetlands as birdlife, wildlife and the landscape come alive after the Wet. 
  • Swim in the cool waterholes of Tjoritja/West MacDonnell National Park after exploring its spectacular desert gorges at their best after summer rain.
  • Catch up to 20 fish species in a single day with local guides who know exactly where to find them.

Submit your deal and reason by 31 July 2026 for the chance to be featured in our campaign launch VIP eDM, reaching a national audience as we unveil the Best Kept Season campaign.
